FIRE JOE MORGAN: You Are Not Ready

FIRE JOE MORGAN

Where Bad Sports Journalism Came To Die

FJM has gone dark for the foreseeable future. Sorry folks. We may post once in a while, but it's pretty much over. You can still e-mail dak, Ken Tremendous, Junior, Matthew Murbles, or Coach.

You Are Not Ready

In about three minutes, Joe is going to call both New York playoff games.

"We thought, wouldn't it be interesting to get Joe's take on the Mets-Dodgers?" Scanlan says.

"Scanlan" is the name of a fourth-level demon sent to Earth to torture mortal beings.

Morgan's borough-to-borough trip will be aided, in part, by the NYPD, which will provide logistical help (traffic updates, etc.).

So: sorry if you get knifed between games, but the police are busy telling Joe that New York is a crowded place.

"Morgan will be a third voice today at Shea, complementing play-by-play man Gary Thorne (a former Mets announcer) and analyst Steve Phillips (a former Mets GM)."

Ouch, great, and oucher.

Eric Byrnes just made a pretty good point on SportsCenter -- that a lot of these playoff games are just going to come down to luck. Not grit or veteranness or wanting it more. Luck. Thank you, Eric Byrnes.
