For a good example of how the quality "offensive" is demonstrated in everyday speech, let's turn to Steeler LB Joey Porter:
"It was just one of those games, the world wanted Indy to win so bad, they were going to do whatever they could. It was like the 9/11 year when they wanted the Patriots (who beat the Steelers in the AFC final) to win it for the world, just for the patriotic of the world. That's what they wanted for Indy today."
Remember the worst tragedy this country has ever faced? It's totally cool to cite that event in relation to an alleged conspiracy among NFL referees, right? Okay, good. Just checking.
Although, maybe Porter has a point, because remember how that tragedy was centered in Foxborough, Mass.? Oh no -- wait. It was New York. And Washington, D.C. And...someplace else...oh. Pennsylvania.
