It's 9-3, So Naturally...

...you start talking about how the losing team should've sac bunted in the top of the inning.

Bob Brenly: Well, you never know what would've possibly transpired had Jeter put down a successful sac bunt. It's easy for the naysayers to say, "Well, the Yankees would've had a big inning! They would've scored a few more runs, the momentum definitely would've been in their dugout." That's been Joe Torre's style. He doesn't like to bunt with those guys, those run producers in the middle of his lineup.

I'm pretty sure a six-run lead doesn't swing entirely on a sac bunt, momentum be damned. Say what you will about Derek Jeter, he OBPs .388 and he had stellar numbers (which Brenly then pointed out) against Sabathia.
